Dams Researches and Water Resources Center

As part of the Center for Dams and Water Resources Research’s ongoing scientific efforts to support university staff and state institutions—and to strengthen the university’s role in serving the community—a scientific course on groundwater was successfully conducted at the Center from May 25 to 29, 2025.

The course featured ten scientific lectures delivered by the Center’s faculty members. These lectures covered all major aspects related to groundwater, including hydraulic, hydrological, and geological dimensions, as well as water quality, classification, and exploration methods. The course also presented case studies on groundwater distribution in Nineveh Governorate and included practical sessions on assessing groundwater quality.

The course saw participation from employees of relevant government departments in Nineveh Province, in addition to researchers from the University of Mosul, reflecting the Center’s commitment to integrating scientific knowledge with practical needs in the field of water resource management.
