Workshop on Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for Sustainable Development

As part of the Center’s activities aimed at supporting the University’s journey toward scientific and academic excellence and enhancing its position in global rankings, our Center organized a specialized workshop entitled:
“Introducing the Mechanism and Requirements for Achieving the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for Sustainable Development.”

The workshop was delivered by:
Assistant Professor Dr. Yousif Hashim Abdullah – Director of the Center,
Eng. Ghassan Anwar Hassan, and
Asst. Lecturer Mohammed AbdulSatar Jabur.

The workshop aimed to familiarize participants with the details of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, which assess universities’ performance in light of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The workshop included several key topics, most notably:

  • A detailed explanation of the ranking methodology and its main indicators linked to each of the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Clarification of the basic requirements for data documentation and the submission of evidence necessary to enter the global rankings.

The workshop was attended by a number of professors, researchers, and staff members from the Center, and witnessed notable interaction from participants through discussions and constructive interventions that emphasized the importance of the topic.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the Director of the Center stressed the necessity of achieving integration and coordination among all departments, divisions, and units of the Center, and of working as one team to document scientific, administrative, and service activities related to sustainable development.
