Workshop on “Mechanisms for Marketing Scientific Outputs”

The Center, in collaboration with the Science and Technology Parks Department at the University of Mosul Presidency, organized a specialized workshop entitled:
“Mechanisms for Marketing Scientific Outputs” on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

The workshop was presented by Dr. Rayan Salem Mahmoud, Head of the Scientific Outputs Marketing Division, and Eng. Mustafa Nazem Qab’a, Head of the Entrepreneurship Division. They provided a detailed presentation on the mechanisms for marketing scientific outputs and ways to enable researchers to transform their knowledge and research theories into marketable and investable products and services, supporting the various specialties of the Center.

The workshop covered:

  • The importance of converting scientific research into tangible economic value and its role in supporting the national economy and providing innovative and sustainable solutions for the water sector.
  • Strategies for protecting intellectual property, including patents and copyrights, and the procedures for registering them to ensure the protection of scientific innovations.
  • Mechanisms for marketing research and technologies, such as enhancing collaboration with the industrial sector, developing prototypes, and building strategic partnerships with companies and implementation institutions, to facilitate the transfer of knowledge from the academic framework to practical application.
