Dams Researches and Water Resources Center

Under the guidance of the University of Mosul Presidency to promote legal awareness in educational institutions, the Center organized an awareness-raising training course entitled:
“Integrity and Transparency in Educational Institutions and Their Role in Combating Corruption,”
with the participation of several staff members of the Center. This initiative aligns with the University’s efforts to enhance institutional awareness and instill legal values in academic and administrative work.

The course included scientific lectures delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Abdulstar Jabr and Dr. Ikram Basel Dhanoon from the Faculty of Law at the University. The lectures covered:

• Fundamental concepts of integrity and transparency and their importance in developing institutional performance.
• Their role in enhancing educational institutions and fostering good governance.

The course also addressed:

• Applicable laws and regulations concerning the publication of scientific research.
• Mechanisms for detecting plagiarism and requirements for adhering to academic honesty.
• Organizational procedures that ensure the quality of scientific research and strengthen trust in academic outputs, thereby positively impacting academic and research performance quality.
