Recommendations:
- Inventory all water resources and deepen joint studies, especially with Turkey and Syria.
- Optimize the use of water resources and improve their management.
- Promote scientific exchange in the field of water sources.
- Reevaluate existing dams in Iraq from all aspects—particularly geotechnical, water‑quality, storage capacities and durations, and actual needs for power generation.
- Establish a water‑information bank at the national and regional levels, considering the greenhouse effect’s significant global impact on water resources.
- Develop future plans to improve water‑resource management efficiency for at least the next ten years.
