جرت في قسم الفيزياء / كلية العلوم مناقشة اطروحة طالب الدكتورة " محمد علوان حمزة " والموسومة " The Preparetion of Laser Active Medium by using of NanoTechnology" وحصل على العديد من الإستنتاجات- It could use Nd:TiO2 nanoparticles powder as optical band-pass filter at a wavelength around 8.34 μm (~1200 cm−1)- Energy levels manifolds 4I9/2 and 4I11/2 of Nd3+ are effected by crystal field of TiO2- Spectroscopic properties of Nd:TiO2 samples close similar to Spectroscopic properties of Nd:YAG crystal. So it could suggest to use Nd:TiO2 as Laser active medium.
