For sustainable education… College of Basic Education holds a joint cooperation agreement with the Nineveh Governorate Education Directorate

 

In order to enhance the integration between the outputs of higher education and the needs of the labor market, the Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Mosul signed a joint cooperation agreement with the General Directorate of Education in Nineveh Governorate on Sunday, February 9, 2025, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mounir Salem Taha, Assistant of the president of the university for scientific affairs.

The agreement aims to strengthen the educational and academic partnership between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Education in order to achieve and apply the approved program accreditation standards for the faculties of the University of Mosul, and to keep pace with changes in the curriculum and update teaching methods in order to contribute to the development of the educational level of pupils and students in the province for sustainable education.

The session began with Prof. Dr. Fathi Taha Meshaal, a member of the National Council for Accreditation of Education Group Colleges in Iraq, giving a detailed explanation of the importance of educational institutions’ application of programmatic accreditation standards that would enhance the sobriety of specialized educational programs and pave the way for programmatic accreditation.

The signing was also attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Safa al-Din Abdullah Suleiman, Dean of the College, Mr. Khaled Abdulaziz al-Muslat, Director General of Nineveh Education, and a number of directors of general education, educational supervision and specialization departments, in addition to the Nineveh Study Center and the legal advisor in the directorate, in addition to a group of administrative and teaching personnel in the college.
