The University of Mosul introduces new academic departments to meet the demands of the modern age and expand its range of academic specializations

The University of Mosul announces the creation of new academic departments, in a move that reflects its keenness to expand its large family of academic departments and keep pace with the changing demands of the times by opening up new specializations that are in line with developments in the labor market and enhance the cultural and scientific heritage of the city of Mosul.

The creation of a Department of Communications Engineering and Smart Digital Systems in the College of Engineering has been approved, representing a qualitative addition in the field of modern engineering technologies and providing local and regional institutions with engineering cadres specialising in communications and smart systems.

An English language department has also been established at the College of Education for Girls, with the aim of enhancing the linguistic and educational skills of female students and providing the education sector with qualified female professionals in the field of English language teaching.

In a move that promotes cultural and academic diversity, a Syriac language department has been established at the College of Education for Humanities, contributing to the preservation of this ancient linguistic and cultural heritage and opening the door to researchers and those interested in Syriac studies and Aramaic literature.

These steps are part of the University of Mosul’s commitment to developing its academic structure and providing a comprehensive scientific environment that accommodates various disciplines, in line with the university’s strategic vision and mission to serve the community.
