The University of Mosul Launches an Interactive Bot to Serve Students, Staff, and Academics
As part of its commitment to digital transformation and simplifying procedures for its staff and students, the University of Mosul has launched a new service through Telegram, named “University of Mosul Bot.” Developed and implemented by the Department of Media and Governmental Communication at the university presidency, this smart interactive platform provides quick access to a wide range of university regulations, instructions, and official guidelines.
The bot, available in both Arabic and English, offers accurate and up-to-date answers on various academic and administrative topics, including:
⦁ Student Affairs and Central Admission (University of Mosul-specific): Minimum acceptance scores for the 2024–2025 academic year, central admission guide, exam regulations, summer training, dormitory guidelines, discipline regulations, academic calendar for advanced stages for the 2025–2026 academic year, and registration instructions for the HEPIQ platform.
⦁ Faculty: Scientific leave regulations, academic promotions, faculty structure, and the Academic Syndicate law.
⦁ Staff and Civil Service: Civil service laws, salaries, pensions, staffing, discipline, study leave, overtime, and employment laws.
⦁ Graduate Employment: Laws related to hiring top graduates and holders of advanced degrees, as well as related appointment instructions.
⦁ Funding and Support: Higher Education Fund, Dormitory Support Fund, scholarships, and guidelines for degree equivalency.
This bot is a practical step in the university’s digital transformation journey, utilizing artificial intelligence to serve students, faculty, and staff, enhancing access to information and providing a reliable, official channel for answering academic and administrative queries.
