Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research`s

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, and supervised by the Director of the ACAR Center, Prof. Dr. Abdulsattar Asmair AlRijbo, and the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Forestry, Prof. Dr. Ali Farouq Al-Maadidi, the Center organized a scientific workshop today, Sunday, 29 June 2025, titled “Clean Agriculture towards a Sustainable Future”.
The workshop was held in collaboration with the College of Agriculture and Forestry and the Planning Department/Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency.
Presenters included:

• Lect. Dr. Islam Abdulsattar Asmair AlRijbo
• Agri. Eng. Shahd Diaa Yassin
The workshop has conducetd in “AFCAR Hall” at the Center of AFCAR and has a remarkable attendances from different academic levels (e.g., professors, researchers, and individuals interested in agricultural sector). Participants discussed ways to enhance sustainable agricultural practices and the importance of clean agriculture techniques in addressing environmental challenges and achieving food security in arid and semi-arid regions. The workshop aims to promote academic and societal awareness of the importance of transitioning towards sustainable agriculture.

The workshop achieves some of the sustainable development goals, including: good health and well-being, well-being and decent work, and sustainable cities and communities.
