Field Visit by the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research– University of Mosul Presidency to Farmers’ Fields in Al-Ayadiyah Agricultural Division to Monitor the Application of Conservation Agriculture.

Within the framework of enhancing research and applied cooperation between academic institutions and the agricultural sector, a specialized team of researchers and engineers from the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research – University of Mosul Presidency conducted a field visit to farmers’ fields in the Al-Ayadiyah Agricultural Division on Tuesday, 13 January 2026.
The visit aimed to monitor the implementation of approved research plans based on conservation agriculture techniques in farmers’ fields and to review the initial results achieved on the ground.
During the visit, the research team discussed with several farmers the mechanisms for developing sustainable agricultural practices and ways to expand the adoption of conservation agriculture techniques, in line with global trends toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The visit also highlighted the role of the University of Mosul in serving the local community through applied scientific research and linking research outputs with real agricultural practices.
