From Research to the Field.. A Promising Partnership Opens New Horizons for Serving Farmers and Promoting Sustainable Agriculture.

  On Thursday, September 10, 2026, Dr. Mohammed Sabhi Mustafa Al-Taweel, Director of the AFCAR Center, received a joint delegation from Al-Hamdaniya University and World Vision Organization on a visit aimed at discussing prospects for scientific and research cooperation and opening joint areas for implementing agricultural projects that contribute to serving farmers and supporting the agricultural sector.

  During the visit, they discussed the possibility of concluding a joint cooperation agreement between the relevant parties, including the implementation of a number of applied agricultural projects and programs based on academic and research expertise and seeking to provide practical solutions to the challenges facing farmers, especially in the fields of dryland and conservation agriculture, raising the efficiency of agricultural production, and improving resource sustainability.

  It was also emphasized that this cooperation represents an additional activity for the University of Mosul by expanding the circle of scientific and community partnerships and enhancing its presence in supporting agricultural development and serving society through joint projects that bring together the expertise and scientific capabilities of various entities.

  This visit comes within the framework of moving toward building effective partnerships among universities, research centers, and organizations, contributing to transforming academic knowledge and expertise into applied projects that serve society and support the future of agriculture in Iraq.

  This visit is consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals, including: Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), Goal 13 (Climate Action), Goal 15 (Life on Land), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
