Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches Harvests Mung Bean Crop as Part of Research Activities.

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, staff members of the Genetic Resources Department at Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches harvested the mung bean crop cultivated in the Center’s experimental fields.

This activity is part of the department’s ongoing research efforts to evaluate and study the performance of legume crops, identifying the varieties most suitable for dryland farming conditions. The goal is to leverage these crops as vital genetic and nutritional resources to enhance the agricultural sector.

This work aligns with the Center’s strategic vision of developing agricultural production and promoting food security. It also directly contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education (through research and educational activities) and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth (by supporting sustainable agriculture and creating research and economic opportunities).
