Workshop on Administrative and Financial Corruption and State Employee Discipline Law Held at Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches.

The Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches at the University of Mosul organized a workshop titled “Administrative and Financial Corruption and the Law of State Employee Discipline” on Sunday, November 2, 2025. The Workshop was attended by a select group of researchers and agricultural engineers from the Center.
The workshop featured lectures delivered by two distinguished academics:
1.Dr. Nawwar Najeeb Tawfiq (Lecturer at the College of Law, University of Mosul) addressed the legal aspects related to the discipline of state employees, highlighting the challenges facing the implementation of the law in governmental institutions.
2.Dr. Rana Issam A’id (Lecturer at the College of Law, University of Mosul) presented a lecture discussing the manifestations of administrative and financial corruption and their impact on institutional performance, while also offering proposals to mitigate this phenomenon and enhance transparency.
The workshop aimed to raise the level of legal and administrative awareness among public sector employees and to facilitate the exchange of expertise on best practices for combating corruption and promoting professional discipline. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing for institutional strengthening.
