On February 17, 2026, Professor Dr. Mohammed Sobhi Mustafa Al-Taweel, Director of the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research at the University of Mosul, held an extended meeting with the heads of scientific departments and researchers at the center.

  During the meeting, Dr. Al-Taweel emphasized a set of instructions included in the center’s agenda to advance agricultural scientific research. He highlighted the importance of the directives from the President of the University of Mosul regarding the development of agricultural research ideas and their publication in reputable journals indexed in Scopus and Clarivate. This initiative contributes to enhancing the university’s global ranking and positioning it among the leading universities regionally and internationally.

  He also noted that strengthening scientific research and developing agricultural ideas aims to support innovation in the agricultural sector, improve production efficiency, and ensure the sustainability of natural resources, thereby serving the local community and enhancing food security.
