Administrative Meeting of the Director of the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research with Staff Members.

  Professor Dr. Mohammed Sobhi Al-Taweel, Director of the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research at University of Mosul, held an administrative meeting on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, with the center’s staff members. During the meeting, he discussed a set of administrative and organizational instructions aimed at improving the institutional work environment and enhancing performance efficiency in a way that serves the center’s interests and strengthens its role in supporting the agricultural sector.

  Dr. Al-Taweel emphasized the importance of adhering to administrative regulations and unifying research efforts in line with the directives of the University Presidency. He noted that the center aspires to serve as a leading scientific platform in the field of dryland and conservation agriculture, contributing to sustainable development at both local and regional levels.

  This meeting aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals, including:  Goal 4: Quality Education — by training researchers and staff and developing their scientific and practical capacities to enhance agricultural innovation. Goal 5: Gender Equality — through the inclusion of female researchers and staff in agricultural and research projects.  Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth — by supporting agricultural innovation and creating sustainable job opportunities in rural communities. Goal 13: Climate Action — through adopting agricultural practices that reduce emissions and protect the environment.
