The Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research Participates in the Iraqi National Entrepreneurship Day Celebration.

  Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jassim Al-Hadidi, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, the Department of Science and Technology Parks at the University Presidency organized a celebration for the Iraqi National Entrepreneurship Day on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the University’s Grand Theater Hall.

  The event witnessed wide participation from university faculty and staff, including members of the Board of the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research : Assistant Professor Dr. Ma’an Mohammed Saleh, Dr. Mahmoud Awad Hussein, and Dr. Adnan Abdul Ahmed. Their presence reflected the Center’s support for the University’s initiatives to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, and to transform research ideas into applied projects with economic and social impact.

  This participation aligns with the Center’s commitment to supporting national initiatives that promote entrepreneurship, encouraging researchers and students to adopt research-based entrepreneurial projects that diversify income sources, support the local economy, and reinforce the University’s role as a driver of sustainable development.

  The activity also aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:      Goal 4: Quality Education — by promoting applied learning and knowledge- and research-based entrepreneurship. Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth — through supporting entrepreneurial projects and creating sustainable, innovation-driven jobs. Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure — by encouraging technology transfer, incubating innovative ideas, and transforming them into products and services. Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals — by strengthening cooperation between the university, research centers, and both public and private sectors.

  This event reflects the commitment of the University and its research centers to instilling a culture of entrepreneurship, building an effective innovation ecosystem, and contributing to sustainable development and the national economy.
