Scientific Visit of PhD Students from the College of Agriculture and Forestry to the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research at the University of Mosul.

  The Center for Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research at the University of Mosul received PhD students on Monday, April 6, 2026, as part of the curriculum for the course Breeding of Important Crops in the Department of Field Crops, College of Agriculture and Forestry. The visit aimed to strengthen the practical aspect of learning and connect students with field-based scientific research.

  The students were welcomed by the Head of the Genetic Resources Department at the Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Ma’an Mohammed Saleh, who delivered a specialized scientific lecture addressing the concept of conservation agriculture and its role in achieving food security and preserving natural resources. He emphasized the importance of adopting modern technologies to Confrontation environmental challenges in the agricultural sector.

  The visit included a field tour of the Center’s departments and laboratories, where students were introduced to modern equipment, machinery, and advanced technologies. Detailed explanations were provided on their operation and their role in implementing sustainable agriculture practices, reflecting the Center’s scientific and technical capabilities in supporting research and agricultural development.

  This visit highlights the Center’s leading role in supporting the educational and research process at the University of Mosul by providing an advanced scientific environment that contributes to developing the skills of postgraduate students and enhancing their academic and practical capacities.
