As part of ongoing efforts to maintain the efficiency and precision of equipment and machinery, engineers from the Mechanization Technologies Department at the Center for Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research carried out comprehensive maintenance of the seed grading unit attached to the cleaning facility on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in preparation for the upcoming harvest season.

  This step aims to ensure the unit’s readiness to receive farmers’ seeds and process them through an integrated production line that includes cleaning, grading, and seed treatment operations, reflecting the Center’s capacity to provide advanced technical services that meet the needs of the agricultural sector in Nineveh Governorate.

  Routine maintenance activities also contribute to reducing unexpected breakdowns, improving the quality of services provided, and enhancing beneficiaries’ confidence in the efficiency and accuracy of seed grading and analysis processes, ultimately supporting better agricultural production.

These efforts are aligned with several Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:

• Goal 2 (Zero Hunger): by supporting the production of improved seeds that enhance food security.
