Staff members of the Center for Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research at the University of Mosul, headed by Professor Dr. Mohammed Subhi Mustafa Al-Taweel (Director of the Center), participated in a scientific seminar organized by the Remote Sensing Center entitled:
“Integration of Artificial Intelligence with Satellite Data in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals”, held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

 This participation reflects the Center’s commitment to keeping pace with modern technologies and strengthening scientific collaboration and knowledge exchange. The seminar highlighted the importance of integrating artificial intelligence technologies with satellite data to enhance the efficiency of natural resource management, particularly in the agricultural and environmental sectors.

  The seminar also addressed practical applications that support decision-making, predict climate change, and monitor crops and water resources, thereby improving agricultural planning and environmental management.

  This participation demonstrates the Center’s leading role in adopting scientific innovation and employing advanced technologies to serve the agricultural sector, enhance sustainability, and address contemporary environmental challenges.

  This activity aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:

• Goal 2 (Zero Hunger): by improving agricultural productivity and crop monitoring.

• Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation): through efficient water resource management using satellite data.
