Scientific Visit of Postgraduate Students from the College of Agriculture and Forestry to the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research – University of Mosul.

  The Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research at the University of Mosul received, on Monday, April 13, 2026, postgraduate students from the Field Crops Department / College of Agriculture and Forestry, during a scientific visit aimed at strengthening academic cooperation and linking theoretical knowledge with practical application.

  The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Islam Abdul Sattar Asmir, who accompanied the students on a field tour across the center’s laboratories and research departments. During the visit, the students were introduced to modern technologies used to improve crop productivity under harsh environmental conditions. They also learned about ongoing research projects, particularly those focused on developing drought-resistant varieties and implementing sustainable agricultural systems.

  This visit is part of the center’s efforts to support applied scientific research and enhance the capabilities of postgraduate students, contributing to the preparation of qualified scientific cadres capable of addressing agricultural and environmental challenges and achieving food security, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:

Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and Goal 13 (Climate Action).
