‘Progressing the Architectural Form of Mosul’ Forum
Under auspices of Prof. Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmedy, Rector of University of Mosul, represented by Assist. Prof. Mazin Nazar Fadhl, Rector Deputy for Administration Affairs, and support of Directorate of Nineveh Municipalities, Department of Architecture of College of Engineering, holds a forum titled: “‘Progressing the Architectural Form of Mosul,” on Thursday December 19 2019. The event, which was held in the hall of the College, was attended by engineers of the Municipalities, Dean of the College of Engineering, and a number of the Department staff. The aim of the forum is expressed in the logo of the forum: (Towards Fashioning Scientific and Practical Frameworks To Improve The Architectural System Of Mosul), the organizers said. Also, highlighting the local capabilities, coordinating the initiatives of the relevant institutions and directorates, benefitting of the modern smart technologies and sustainability technologies, and preparing working studies were among the most important issues in the forum. Likewise, the activities of the forum included a keynote speech by Dean of College of Engineering, in which he focused on forming trendy urban spaces, restoring the antique city of Nineveh with its wall, improving the forests zone and taking good care of the banks of river Tigris. Later, a show of the students’ projects was opened for viewers.
