Central Library of University of Mosul was reopened on February 19th, 2022. The Daesh burned and demolished library was restored through the UNDP programs by virtue of the German KFW grant. Reconstruction and rehabilitation were implemented and supervised by Department of Construction and Projects of the University.The opening event was attended by Deputy of the German Ambassador to Iraq, representatives of Iraqi MOHESR, UNDP, KFW, Governor of Nineveh, the Turkish Consul to Mosul, parliamentarians, academics, cultural and security figures and other interested people.
