The University received 2500 saplings from the Turkish grant to Mosul. In a celebration held by Nineveh Governorate and Mosul Municipality at the Municipality Saplings Bed, Turkish Consul to Mosul, Mohammed Kuçuk Sakali delivered his country's gift to Governor Najm al-Juboori in the attendance of Rector Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Wahid al-Ibrahimi, a number of Iraqi PMs and other local officials and figures. Noteworthy is that Turkey donated 25000 trees to Mosul to support the one-million-trees campaign launched by Nineveh Governorate to expand green areas and to participate in the global climate change effort.
