Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, chaired the seventh session of the University Council for the academic year 2024-2025, in the presence of council members. The session also hosted Assistant Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hazem Al-Ghazali, Head of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Department, Eng. Osama Ahmed Hamdoun, Head of the Construction and Projects Department, and Mr. Mohammed Badr, the University’s Student Representative.

The council discussed several topics, including:

Setting the dates for the first-term exams for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Expanding the admission plan for postgraduate programs for the academic year 2025-2026.

Addressing challenges and obstacles faced by the Construction and Projects Department.

The University President directed appropriate solutions for these issues and emphasized the importance of faculty members maintaining their commitment to academic excellence, scientific research, and publication in reputable international journals to elevate the university’s reputation and ensure its prominent standing.

The session also covered other key topics on the agenda to determine suitable actions and work mechanisms.
