Prof. Dr. Ahmed Jarallah Yaseen, a faculty member in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts, University of Mosul, won second place in the Sharjah Award for Criticism of Arabic Poetry, held in the United Arab Emirates.

This achievement came in recognition of his critical study titled “The Convergence of Literary Genres in Contemporary Arabic Poetry: A Critical Approach in Theory and Practice.” The study explores the dimensions of interconnection between literary genres in contemporary Arabic poetry, presented in an innovative critical style.
