Professor Dr. Owais Mufaq Hamed Al-Husseini, along with undergraduate students Hajar Riad and Dalal Abdul Haq from the Department of Biology , participated in the Third International Conference on Modern Academic Studies (ICRAS 2024), which was held in Turkey, organized by the All Science Academy in collaboration with Selye János University.

The team presented the research titled:
“Detection of the correlation between genetic variation and gene expression for the circadian rhythm (BMAL1) gene in undergraduate students suffering from sleepiness,” which entailed a molecular study to identify genetic variation and link it to the expression levels of sleep regulation genes, targeting students who suffer from sleep disorders.
