The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, announced the imminent groundbreaking for the largest scientific laboratory project in Iraq.

This announcement came during his meeting with the University of Kufa Council, where the minister reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to establishing advanced scientific laboratories. These facilities aim to bolster scientific research, a cornerstone of sustainable development that drives societal progress and advancement.

Dr. Al-Aboudi emphasized the importance of positioning universities as hubs for cultural and scientific engagement, enhancing their societal responsibilities, and fostering institutional integration with state sectors. He also highlighted the need to improve training frameworks to elevate professional capacities and modernize teaching methodologies.

During the meeting, the minister listened to the council members’ proposals and recommendations on strengthening academic disciplines that serve societal needs and attracting international students as part of the Study in Iraq program.
