The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, honored the top graduates of the 35th cohort of the University of Kufa during a graduation ceremony.

In his speech, the minister reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to implementing initiatives that enhance the performance and distinction of university institutions. He emphasized the dedication of the ministry, along with its universities, colleges, institutes, and research centers, to achieving their mission of nurturing students, preparing future generations, and providing a comprehensive academic environment.

Dr. Al-Aboudi highlighted that the graduation of the 35th cohort coincides with the achievements made during two years of the current Iraqi government and the Ministry of Higher Education. These include securing the integrity of Iraqi academic credentials, aligning them with international accreditation standards, achieving competitive rankings in university classifications, advancing Iraqi research in global indexing platforms, and reaping the benefits of the Study in Iraq program by attracting international students to Iraqi universities.

The graduation ceremony featured a parade of graduates, a procession of the University Council, a speech by the President of the University of Kufa, Dr. Alaa Naji Al-Moula, a message from the graduating students, the awarding of academic degrees, and the recitation of the university and medical oaths by the graduates from medical colleges.

Concluding the ceremony, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi honored the top graduates and urged them to dedicate their efforts and leverage available resources, tools, and research to empower university institutions in addressing current challenges and meeting contemporary demands.
