The College of Computer Science and Mathematics discusses a doctoral thesis on a secure model for the Internet of Things using DNA computing.
At the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul, a doctoral thesis titled “Developing a Secure Model for Internet of Things Services Based on DNA Computing” was presented on Sunday, December 22, 2024. The study, conducted by researcher Saadoun Hussein Abdullah, focused on designing an innovative security framework for the Internet of Things that includes four integrated stages: data collection and encryption, secure storage and synchronization, and management via the cloud using lightweight algorithms that leverage DNA properties. The aim of the study is to enhance the security and reliability of Internet of Things services through advanced encryption and authentication techniques.
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Manar Younis Ahmed, with members including Professor Dr. Qutaiba Ibrahim Ali, Assistant Professor Dr. Najlaa Badi, Assistant Professor Dr. Sufyan Salem Mahmoud, and Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Adel Kazem, with supervision and participation from Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmad Sami Nouri
