Today, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, the College of Engineering at the University of Mosul held a mourning ceremony attended by Professor Dr. Munir Salem Taha, the Assistant President of the University for Health and Scientific Affairs. A moment of silence was observed, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of their deceased student, Aws Khaled, a fourth-year student in the Civil Engineering department, who died of a heart attack while taking his final exam for the first semester. The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Hussein, the Dean of the College, faculty members, and many students, who shared in the family’s grief and prayed for him to receive mercy and to be in paradise.
