University of Mosul launches the first batch of the “How to Establish Your Project” course in cooperation with the Nineveh Federal Labour Department

 

As part of the University of Mosul’s efforts to support its graduates and qualify them for the labour market, on Sunday 12 January 2025, the first batch of the “How to Establish Your Project” course was launched in cooperation between the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division and the Nineveh Federal Labour Department.

Prof. Dr. Munir Salem Taha, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, visited the course headquarters accompanied by Dr. Omar Qusai Jassim, head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Division, and was received by Mr. Muhammad Yahya Hashem, Director of the Nineveh Labor Department.

The number of applicants for the course amounted to 3600 applicants, and the projects were selected according to different specializations and distributed in several batches that will be implemented later at the University of Mosul and the Nineveh Labour Department.

It is noteworthy that these courses grant participants loans ranging from 20, 30 or 50 million Iraqi dinars to be repaid over five years, with the aim of supporting young people in establishing their own projects and ensuring their sustainability in line with the needs of the labour market in Nineveh province
