The Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject for 2025 have been announced (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/by-subject), following global competition among universities based on 18 indicators covering teaching standards, research environment, research quality, industry income, and international outlook.

The University of Mosul ranked first among Iraqi medical colleges in the field of research quality, second in research application in industry after the University of Baghdad, third in research output, and fifth in teaching.
