The Dry and Conservation Agriculture Research Center at the University of Mosul organized a visit to the Hamidat Agriculture Division to provide a guidance lecture on the use of conservation agriculture technology in cooperation with the Nineveh Agriculture Directorate and the World Food Program Organization, on Monday, February 10, 2025.

The lectures were delivered by Assistant Professor Nawaf Jassim Mohammed, Assistant Agronomist Huzaifa Mahdi, Assistant Agronomist Hatem Abdulkarim, and Assistant Agronomist Aws Maher.

The seminar dealt with recognizing the use of the conservation agriculture technique while providing comprehensive guidance on how to apply this technique, the benefits of conservation agriculture in water harvesting and bush resistance compared to conventional agriculture, and the comparison between conservation and traditional agriculture.

Additionally, informational brochures detaling the technique and its benefits were distributed ,and a survey was conducted to gather farmers’ opinions and analyze them in order to improve and develop conservation agriculture techniques.
