Representing His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, attended the 28th International Scientific Conference titled “Together to Confront Intellectual Extremism: Towards Moderate Thinking and a Secure Future.”

The conference was organized by the Northern Technical University in collaboration with the Psychological Research Center and the Noon Center for Specialized Research and Studies on February 12–13, 2025.

During the event, the University President delivered a speech on behalf of the Minister of Higher Education, emphasizing the importance of directing scientific research and institutional efforts toward overcoming extremist ideologies, strengthening social cohesion, and achieving societal peace through effective programs and initiatives.

The speech underscored the significance of fostering citizenship and genuine national belonging to build a secure Iraq with a balanced and constructive intellectual framework.
