The university’s Grand Theater hosted an inspiring lecture by Iraqi doctor Mohammed Taher Abu Ragheef, who provided an honorable humanitarian model through his voluntary work in Ghara.

He was welcomed by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Munir Salem Taha, representing the President of the University of Mosul, who delivered a welcoming speech in which he praised the efforts of Dr. Mohammed Taher, highlighting the challenges that the University of Mosul and Nineveh Governorate have gone through, and emphasizing the importance of humanitarian and volunteer work in supporting harmed communities.

During the lecture, Dr.Mohammed Taher shared a touching experience about his medical journey in Gaza, reviewing the difficulties he faced while providing health care under difficult conditions, and inspired the audience with his stories of giving and sacrificing for the sake of humanity.

The event was coordinated by the Mosul Heritage Foundation and organized by Basma Group.
