Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, received the update of the Nineveh Geospatial Map from experienced professor Dr. Hikmat Al-Daghestani, who participated in its preparation along with Professor Sabah Hussein Ali and Assistant Professor Mahmoud Siddiq Qader from the Remote Sensing Center, as part of the ongoing scientific efforts to document and analyze environmental and geographical changes in the province.

The President of the University emphasized on the importance of this map in supporting environmental studies and urban planning, praising the efforts of the researchers in providing accurate data that contribute to promoting sustainable development in Nineveh, noting that this map will be circulated to Nineveh Governorate and relevant departments to ensure maximum benefit from it.
