First International Forum for Sustainable Universities Started at the University of Mosul

On Sunday evening, April 6, 2025, the first international virtual forum for sustainable universities, organized by the Green Economy and Sustainable Development Platform at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul in cooperation with the Al-Kitab University Platform, was launched under the patronage of the university president, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the supervision of the dean of the college, Prof. Thaer Ahmed Saadoun Al-Samman.
The forum began with an opening session, during which Assistant Professor Dr. Ashti Abdul Sattar Al-Mazouri gave a welcoming speech, followed by speeches by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, the Dean of the College, Prof. Thaer Ahmed Saadoun Al-Samman, and the President of the Al-Kitab University Platform, Prof. Dr. Samir Saadoun Al-Jubouri.
The first scientific session was chaired by Dr. Abeer Damak from the Republic of Tunisia, with the participation of researchers who presented papers in the fields of green economy and sustainable development: Prof. Dr. Salwa Mahmoud Ali Hassan, Prof. Dr. Omar Najmuddin Anja, Assistant Professor Dr. Manal Abdul Jabbar Al-Samak, Professor Dr. Rami Hikmat Fuad Al-Hadithi, Dr. Iman Salem Al-Badawi, and Assistant Professor Yasmin Mohammed Khan.
The forum will continue until April 7 under the slogan Green Economy and Sustainable Universities, a partnership for the future, with the aim of consolidating sustainability concepts and enhancing research cooperation between universities.
