The University of Mosul has achieved a remarkable scientific achievement added to its distinguished academic record, by topping the list of Iraqi universities after Baghdad University in terms of the number of scientific journals indexed in the global Scopus database, where the number of indexed journals reached (4), making it the leading academic institution in Iraq.

This achievement comes within the monthly update announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – Office of the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, which indicated that 36 Iraqi journals have been indexed in Scopus until April 5, 2025, covering a wide range of scientific and research disciplines.
