Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and the supervision of the President of the University of Mosul Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Haidar Abdul Dahad, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and their opening remarks, the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Mosul, in cooperation with Al-Noor University, held its international scientific conference under the title: “Innovation and Technology in Sport: New Horizons to Enhance Performance and Learning”. On Sunday, April 13, 2025, its research and scientific sessions continued over three days.

The program included welcoming speeches from the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hamed Al-Suwaidi, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Noor Al-Ahli University, Dr. Bashar Mohammed Ali, and documentary films documenting the history of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Mosul and another documentary film about Al-Noor Al-Ahli University.
On the sidelines of the conference, a meeting of the Committee of Deans of Iraqi Colleges of Physical Education and Sport Sciences was held. Prof. Dr. Sabah Qasim, Chairman of the committee, delivered a speech in which he praised the role of the university in advancing the academic sports movement in Iraq and the extent to which it keeps pace with global modernization in its joints
