In a new academic achievement, the Department of Petroleum and Refining Engineering at the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at the University of Mosul has been ranked first in the Iraqi national ranking of petroleum engineering departments in Iraqi universities.

The college was honored at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, where the head of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, Prof. Salah Hadi Saleh, received the deans of the winning colleges, including Assistant Professor Dr. Maan Hassan Abdullah, dean of the College of Oil and Mining Engineering.
