On Sunday evening, April 13, 2025, the University of Mosul organized an official celebration on the occasion of its 58th anniversary, in the presence of the Minister of Planning, the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Archaeology, the Governor, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Higher Education and Scientific Research, a number of officials, former university presidents, prominent academic, judicial and administrative figures, the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and members of the University Council.

The ceremony included a documentary presentation on the milestones of the university’s march since its establishment in 1967, as well as an infographic presentation of the university’s former presidents, and the events were completed by honoring a group of official and academic figures who contributed to the service and development of the university.

The celebration concluded with the opening of a number of academic and artistic exhibitions held in the surroundings of the ceremony site, amid an atmosphere that expresses pride in the university’s ancient history and its pioneering scientific role.
