On Sunday, April 20, 2025, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Committee at the College of Science, held an educational seminar entitled “Domestic Violence”.

The seminar dealt with the definition of domestic violence as a harmful act committed against a person’s will, its various forms, including physical, psychological, economic and social violence, and its serious consequences in destabilizing social and psychological peace.

The seminar addressed the main ways to protect against violence and its effects on society.

The lectures were delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Hind Abdullah Ahmed, Assistant Professor Dr. Inas Muhammad Aziz, Assistant Professor Dr. Muntaha Mahmoud Dawood, Assistant Professor Dr. Warqa Saeed, Assistant Lecturer Aline Muwaffaq Khalil and Assistant Lecturer Nour Alhuda Ahmed Muhammad Muhammad Tahir.
