University of Mosul organizes Nineveh Dialogue Forum to promote coexistence and peace

The University of Mosul organized the Nineveh Dialogue Forum under the title “Interfaith Dialogue for Peace and Coexistence in Nineveh – Iraq” on April 28-29, 2025, which was held with the support of KAICIID.
The forum witnessed the presence of Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, the European Union Ambassador Thomas Seiler, and the participation of a group of academics and students, who presented messages of peace through speeches and interventions on the importance of dialogue, rejecting violence and consolidating the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all segments of society, the forum sessions witnessed rich discussions on the role of the university and society in building sustainable peace and the importance of activating dialogue initiatives and mutual understanding between different religious and ethnic components in Nineveh.
This event comes in confirmation of the University of Mosul’s pioneering role in supporting the culture of peace and promoting the values of pluralism and mutual respect among all members of Iraqi society.
