College of Computer Science and Mathematics discusses doctoral dissertation on a dynamic model for measuring the consumption of drone network resources

The College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul discussed a doctoral dissertation titled “A Dynamic Model for Measuring the Resource Consumption of Drones’ Networks Based on Complex Networks”.
“A dynamic model for measuring the consumption of UAV network resources based on complex networks”.

The study, submitted by researcher Ahmed Yassin Kamel at the Department of Computer Science, dealt with a design that simulates a real environment in terms of geographical features, obstacles, and others. The work environment was modeled into a network model using concepts inspired by complex networks. The model and all its properties were embedded in the drone’s memory before starting its missions.

The design of automated path planning algorithms for drones by combining concepts from Boustrophedon and Spiral algorithms as well as concepts from complex networks. The proposed algorithm and other algorithms were simulated using software tools such as AirSim, Unreal Engine, Anaconda, and the programming language Python.

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, Dean of the College.

and the membership of Prof. Dr. Salah Abdul Ghani Garo.

Assistant Professor Dr. Naglaa Badie Ibrahim.

Assistant Professor Dr. Iyad Hussein Abdul Qader.

Assistant Professor Dr. Qutaiba Abdullah Hassan, and the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Bassem Mohamed Mahmoud.
