Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, chaired the 16th session of the University Council, in the presence of all council members, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

The Council discussed a number of important topics, including the minutes of the Central Scientific Promotion Committee.

The meeting urged teachers to continue scientific research, which is one of the most prominent measures of academic excellence, and to publish in journals within international reputable journals.

The meeting also discussed the issue of reducing tuition fees for undergraduate students, and the mechanism of the competitive exam for postgraduate applicants for the academic year 2025-2026. The council continued to discuss the rest of the paragraphs on its agenda.
