On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, Professor Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of Mosul University, welcomed Professor Stefan Maul, Head of the German Mission from Heidelberg University, in the presence of Dr. Yasmeen Abdul Karim Mohammed Ali, Dean of the College of Archaeology.

During the meeting, they discussed the prospects of academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities, especially in the fields of archaeology, exchange of expertise, and academic visits, as well as discussing joint research projects in the fields of excavations and cultural heritage.
