College of Archaeology organizes a workshop on supporting recovering drug addicts and combating social stigma

 

The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at the College of Archaeology organized a workshop entitled “Combating Social Stigma to Support Drug Recoveries” presented by Prof. Dr. Nada Fattah Al-Abaji from the College of Education for Human Sciences, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

The workshop addressed the negative effects of the social stigma faced by those recovering from addiction, discussed ways to address it to enhance their integration into society, and emphasized the importance of community awareness and integration of efforts between official institutions and civil society organizations to change the negative perception towards this group.
