University of Mosul journals continue to advance in Scopus
In a new scientific achievement added to the record of the University of Mosul, and as a direct result of the directives of Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University, and his great interest in enhancing the university’s position at the local and international levels, the journals of the University of Mosul continued their progress in the international rankings within Scopus.
The Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Sciences achieved 27th place globally out of 260 journals, and the Rafidain Agriculture Journal’s ranking increased from the fourth quarter (Q4) to the third quarter (Q3). In another achievement, the Journal of Rafidain Engineering appeared in Q4 after its recent entry into Scopus, reflecting the university’s prestigious scientific standing in the global academic arena.
It is noteworthy that the University of Mosul has four scientific journals categorized within Scopus, namely the Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Sciences, the Journal of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, the Iraqi Journal of Earth Sciences, and the Journal of Rafidain Engineering.
The Presidency of the University of Mosul, represented by its President, Prof. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, appreciates the prominent role played by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by its Minister , Prof. Naim Al-Abboudi, and the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Haider Abde Dahed, for their continuous support to the University of Mosul in particular, and to Iraqi universities in general.
The university also commends the great efforts exerted by the heads and members of the editorial boards of the scientific journals, who had a clear impact in achieving this honorable achievement, through their commitment to international academic standards and their continuous endeavour to develop the journals and raise their research level. The University of Mosul emphasizes its commitment to continue this scientific approach and to stimulate quality academic research, which will contribute to strengthening its position among international universities.
