Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, the university hosted on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, the work of the central conference of Nineveh public and private universities, which was held under the slogan “The academic role in achieving national unity and fighting extremist ideology.”

The conference was attended by Prof. Dr. Wahid Al-Ibrahimi, Prof. Dr. Lubna Khamis Mahdi, General Director of the Research and Development Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with the presidents of Nineveh public and private universities, and a number of academic figures.

The conference focused on strengthening the role of academic institutions in consolidating the principles of peaceful coexistence, rejecting violence, and confronting extremist ideology through constructive scientific and intellectual proposals
